Duchesne County Bridge Replacement - Horrocks Engineers was selected to perform full preliminary, environmental, design, and construction engineering services for 7 bridge replacements over the Strawberry River west of Duchesne City. The contract consisted of representing UDOT and Duchesne County in the replacement of the concrete bridges. Horrocks Engineers provided all the experienced personnel necessary to complete the project. One challenge Horrocks engineers dealt with during the project was correlation with the property owners, including the Uintah Ouray Indian Tribe. Another challenge handled efficiently was irrigation and drainage from the adjacent land area and the new roadway.
Pleasant Grove Boulevard Center Street/State Street Improvements Phase I - The Pleasant Grove Boulevard Center Street/State Street Improvements Project came about due to Utah counties growing population and the desire to provide Lindon and Pleasant Grove cities with a direct connection to the I-15 freeway. Horrocks provided the full contract administration. The project impacted a major state arterial (this road intersects SR-89), so traffic control was a major issue that Horrocks Engineers handled effectively by coordinating with UDOT and being in direct and constant contact with Pleasant Grove City. The project was constructed on schedule. Phase I, as well as Phase II, connect the new I-15 highway interchange to the City's town center.
